Bob,

What is the shrub type, environment, noticeable pests if any?? Can we get a picture of the undersides of some leaves too.

You should supply host plant, environmental conditions, and any noticeable pests on plant. If it's a pest, you would most likely notice them on the healthy leaves bordering the infected leaves. Otherwise it could be a fungal problem, but I doubt it. I can't tell from the pic if its simply rust or not. Some of the leaves actually appear a bit blistered.
Currently got me a bit puzzeled!!

Bob,
What type of shrub is that?
Rust of some sort perhaps.
Are there little black spots also?

Ortho problem solver book does not have the answer. Does any one work with Rodales (Spelling) diagnosis book? Is Rodales book any good?

This book pales in comparison to Ortho's!! I have it - couldn't affor Ortho's at time. No color photos, and a more limited range of species!!

If it was in my garden I'd be getting the chainsaw out.
