Wiring issues

I am helping an old friend with a 48" Wright RH mower, which he is fixing for another guy. All the problems started when the electric clutch froze on it and the owner thought that the engine (17HP KAW) was frozen. The owner brought my friend the mower and another engine. I guess the original owner was going to swap out engines when he decided that he was going to let my friend do it instead. The owner disconnected the wiring and now we cant seem to get power to the engine.
Is there a place online that has a really good wiring diagram? I have a simple wiring diagram that came with the paperwork for my new mower, but the color codes don't seem correct.

So it sounds like the new engine is a different spec. so the connectors and wires might be different. Did anything come with the new engine or do you know what the spec. is on the new engine?
