Works very well, maybe a bit to crowded now, so a 16feet would of been nice.

Are asphalt driveways popular in your area? Don't really see them in my area any more. Nice truck by the way.

Looks very nice and clean! For an asphalt seal coat rig, it's almost amazing how clean it is. Most asphalt rigs around here are so dirty and covered in sealer.

This is off topic, sorry, but... I notice you have a pressure washer in your trailer. We are thinking of adding that to our service. Do you get much business pressure washing? If so what type of jobs. Thanks Gauvereau.

I try to keep the rig as clean as possible, I mean the exterior of my truck and trailer is always clean. Cardboard works very well on the floor since you can always put a new piece in. I think it affects a lot your image if you keep your stuff clean or not.

The first house picture with the concrete apron... Why would they put in an asphalt driveway?? Looks horrible. Don't get me wrong your work and equipment look great, but that drive needs to be concrete (obviously not you fault).

Concrete is not really the same as asphalt here in Canada. Like outdoor maintenance said, its mostly asphalt driveways here in Canada. Concrete is bit more popular in southern ontario, but still, concrete is not really made to move around and survive the harsh condition in Canada.

What I saw was your asphault sealer. For some reason, I thought it was a pressure washer.

Saw your picutres. Looks great!

My blue bird de-thatcher is done, I gave it to a guy I know who sand blasted it, primed it with a led primer, then gave 3 coats of paint. I came out pretty nice, now I just have to put it all back together (If I remember how lol)

Thanks, ya I take a lot of pride in my work, and yes usually the 1st one on the street is the hardest to get, then neighbors see my work and they trust me and then everyone gets its done lol. I'm going to get my trailer lettered this summer to help with advertising.

It's been a while I didn't update this thread, so for those who are subscribed: enjoy.

This is my "new" cub cadet tractor, It's not clean or anything, very dirty and a few rust spots. The only reason I bought it is because it was cheap and had dual bags. I will be using this tractor for picking up thatch.

Pics of my new trailer. It's full aluminum, 7X16, 2 X 3500pounds torsion axles.
I made some custom treated plywood to block the front to haul debris and a bit in the back. Also made a custom 8 foot ramp.

My pics are pretty messed up with my new camera, I have to re size my pics from 4000 pixels to 800 pixels, so they look weird.

Anyways here is my aerator, painted the gas can and the wheels. New sticker on it. New spark plug, cord, belt & chain. All greased up and ready to go.

Been pretty busy so far, the season has kicked in 6th gear for me.

I did a lot of aeration over the weekends and booked in 8 dethatching and 3 overseeding in the same street.

Today I have to drop off some lawn care packages to 6 customers, the packages have all my services included so they are pretty big.

Nice stuff. Don't know if you know or not but if you take dish soap and mix it with water in a pump up sprayer you can spray the sealed cracks right after you apply the rubber and walk/drive on it almost instantly. A trick i learned working for a local DPW doing crack sealing.

JFGauvreau
04-15-2011, 07:36 AM
Ya it's a common trick use to bring down the temperature of the cracks, to cooled them down. I don't use it but I just a black sand instead, it makes it so the tires won't stick to it.

Little update...

This week has been awful, didn't work 1 one day of the week :( It's been raining non stop. Had some 95km/h winds yesterday, broke down a lot of stuff, including trees, gazebos and trampoline.

Just got my tailgate sign for my trailer, I think It came out pretty nice, easy to read too. Purchase my commercial spreader, it's a 125 pounds capacity.
