This waterfall was a commercial aplication in the Pittsburgh area. It is 30' in length, 20' in height, has 3 waterfalls with an average width of 6'. The basin area is 12'L x 7'W x 4' D. I used an Atlantic system (as always), and it took us about 6 days.

Any pics of the entire project? What size of excavator did you use to set the stones? Great looking waterfall, hope your business is still doing well in this economy.

Thank you for the compliments. I actually started working a 3d design program over the winter that helped me sell the project. This was the first 3d rendering I did and is cartoonish, but helped with visualization for the customer.

It wasn't that bad. I've been working off of steep hillsides with that machine for about 10 years. Once you get confident, sky's the limit...

Is the 3D design program the google program you mentioned earlier in one of your threads? I remember seeing it and downloading it but never really got a chance to try it out.

Yes, it's the google sketch up design program. It's really made a huge impact on my design capabilities this year.

It was actually easier then some of our smaller features. The larger the area, the larger the rocks. Which are all set by machine.

That's amazing man. Looks awesome. Where is that, if you don't mind my asking? Ever see the waterfall at the intersection of 19N and Wallace Rd just north of Wexford by the Sheetz at the new strip mall with the Giant Eagle? I forget who put it in, but it's amazing.

Looks great man!

I couldn't help laughing when I saw the guy with a hard had and jeans who looked like he was busy at work without shoes on! I guess I wouldn't want to take a chance on puncturing that liner though.

Where do you get that black liner from?

We buy it by the roll from a distributor in Ohio.

We built this feature for the new Swank Construction headquaters in New Kensington. And no I haven't seen the waterfall you described. We typically stay in the South Hills, but would like to see it.

That's cool, Swank is a huge company. I see them all the time on the Turnpike.

If you ever have some extra time, head up 19 North, just north of Wexford across from the Sheetz. I'd say it's maybe the same size as yours but they used smaller boulders.

No more pictures of that job yet. Been meaning to get up there to take the after pics when the landscaping was done. As far as work goes, we're pretty steady. Staying booked atleast a month and half to two months in advance. Could be better.
