Turf Herbicide for Grassy & Broadleaf Weeds

Recommendations
For the suppression of yellow nutsedge, control of certain grassy weeds, such as crabgrass and foxtail, and control of most troublesome broadleaf weeds species in established cool-season turf areas. Use sites include golf courses, lawns, cemeteries, public parks, sports turf, sod farms and other sites.

Post-emergent yellow nutsedge suppression, crabgrass control, plus broadleaf weeds – FAST!

Q4® Turf Herbicide is a patented product containing four (4) active ingredients: Quinclorac + Sulfentrazone + 2,4-D + Dicamba. A precision product, Q4 joins Gordon’s other fast-acting products in the ProForm® line-up, SpeedZone®, PowerZone®, SpeedZone® Southern and Surge® herbicides.

University data and cooperator tests have demonstrated consistently enhanced speed compared to other water-based products in controlling labeled weeds. Like Surge, Q4 is ‘energized with sulfentrazone’ for fast acting nutsedge suppression. And warm-weather broadleaf weeds will turn brown, dry up and blow away.

But Q4 also contains quinclorac, so users can control grassy weeds such as crabgrass and foxtail, which will turn ghostly pale prior to reddening and subsequent death. These two ingredients — sulfentrazone and quinclorac — in combination create a synergistic activity which enhances crabgrass control. Adding precise ratios of 2,4-D and dicamba broadens the weed control spectrum and adds systemic activity to the contact activity of sulfentrazone for multiple modes of action. Q4 provides outstanding control of broadleaf weeds such as dandelion, clover, spurge, knotweed and plantain. This all-in-one product has become known as the "army knife" of turf herbicides.

I don't know about where are,but here in CT it has been very, very dry and turf is heading into dormancy in many areas.

If its as dry where you are,the weeds will not take up herbicides very well as they are probably dormant and drought stressed, so spraying again won't help you.
My 2 cents

Irrigation systems are not installed on as many fields as one would think. We have worked on many fields and only a handful have irrigation or a properly operating system.
We are seeing now that even if they have one, the systems are turned off, budget cuts, not having a huge water bill for irrigation only.

Is the Q4 for spot treatment or can it be used on the entire lawn, ( or a good portion there of) and then reseeded?
We have a client we picked up late, didn't get the pre-em's and now with the heat and what not, yard's full of crabgrass. "worst it's ever looked" she says.
Good client, good payer, want to keep them happy.
Any suggestions?
