Hello everyone and congratulations for..rocking it out everyday :cool2:

I need to go buy a unit and i'd like to get the right one instead of testing them out and returning them, let's do it with the pros because i want to keep it.

I'll put them here with the specs and a pic,i need to know if they will rip weeds from interlock driveways without having to do it by hand.I need to be sure of that and i'd like to know if i can later on put it permanently in the truck bed without losing pressure with a longer hose to keep on ripping/washing those interlocked driveways.

It would take a long time to do a driveway with those machines ....... MUCH longer if you are trying to get rid of weeds.

I did a driveway with a machine like you posted .... one driveway .... one time...... 12 years ago ...... never again. Not trying to be a smart a** but that's the wrong tool for the job.

Do you have any other details of the job? How big are the driveways? How many? How much do you expect to make? Pictures of the driveway with weeds?

Lol..one time..12 years ago..never again :hammerhead: i wont' buy that then especially if its slow!

Most of the driveways fits 4-6 cars, the weeds are pretty much in every crack and i'd do as much as possible, around 400 per season (5-6-7 months).I didn't think about taking pictures tho..

I noticed some people having a weird machine when i made a search on google..one like this:

Please tell me i can do it just as fast and good with a spray gun instead of that innofensive machine.

Now your talkin..... that's a surface cleaner and it works much quicker than just using a wand. You need to have a machine that puts out at least 4 gpm ... but more water is better 6 gpm or even 8. Hot water is even better.

How long do you expect it to take to clean one driveway?

A surface cleaner is what you need and like the other guy said, 4-8gpm (more is better) and hot water is nice to have also.

You need to keep in mind that after you clean pavers you need to replace the sand

Hmm..i don't know anymore.

I would've thought 1 hour to clean and seal but..seems like i may not know what i'm getting into.

Your thoughts on timeframe? Does it need to be dry to spread the sand(polymetric only?)and seal?

Thanks by the way,now i know i need a surface cleaner and a powerful motor.

If you have 400 of these under contract, you should be able get a machine with the power you need to zip through each driveway pretty quickly. As for the sealer, you need to check with the product info and your supplier.

Good luck.

I dont know a lot about the pressure washing aspect but I do know from exp. that you must get at least 90% of the sand out of the joints without loosening the brick, let dry completely ( blower will help speed the drying process), sweep the polymeric sand into the joints filling them to within 1/4 inch of the surface, gently blow the sand dust off, gently wet the surface trying not to let the water run off and make sure the sand is completely saturated, then blow off any excess water.
Keep in mind pressure washing pavers is very messy so allow for clean up time.

Good Luck
