Hey everyone im still new to the whole bidding thing so was hoping someone could help me out. The Job is excavating down 3 inches and a 32 foot circle.filling back in with mason sand for pool. all the dirt is staying on site but i have to rent a bobcat i figure about 8.5 yards of sand. I charge 50/ hr most of the time but need the work so was thinking 40/ hr was fair. Just need some input on this anything would be great thanks

A pool guy did some excavating for my mother-in-laws pool. He charged approximately $650. He used a lazer (which you should too), and also installed the pool for a different price/invoice. The installation price included the sand.

Take the hours you think it will take to finish the job and times by $40 then add the price of the bobcat rental and sand.

This formula is a good one to follow by, just make sure you allocate enough time, or else you are working in the hole.
