I was wondering from those of you that use the perma green power spreaders what kind of sq footage you get done per day? I know drvie time and other factors can effect how much someone gets done but I'm trying to figure what someone should be capable of getting accomplished daily, weekly as a one man crew. Assuming you're spraying the lawns at times and other times you may not, what are some averages?

I bought a Perma Green back in April. My best day so far was 350,000 sq. ft. spread and sprayed, in 8 hrs. I average 150,000-200,000 per 8 hrs. I work solo. :) ;) :) ED

i am a solo operator also and can do about 500 sf in 10 hrs. with all the lawns being in the same area, which includes blowing down.

When you're in the app bus, you leave out the 1000 part ;)

I figure somewhere in the vicinity of 200 M sf , is normal, with minimal drive time from job to job and possibly some drive getting out and back to the shop. I got to believe 500 m sf is either unrealistic or conceivably the lawns average 25-30 M sf!

We run 3 units out of our shop. The daily average is 250,000 sq. ft. These trucks are also doing a few quotes and a few service calls each day. We also plan on our units having a breakdown once every 3 weeks.
kent kent kent, your humor and wit are always welcome...... tell me more about the pbi gordon weed controls guy.... as far as the perma-greens, my current operations guy handles 2000 accounts ranging from 2000 sgft all the way to 1.5 acres, he workes less than 40hr's a week and he runs a turf tracker...

turner : what kind of problems have you been experienced?
i like to know..
with 3 mechines on the road you must cover alot of turf...
i have 2 with one of them being a back up...
f350-- my post should have read 500,000 sf. with all of them lawns in the same development.

250 m sf seems do-able if there is good density and relatively nice size lawns. I know though when i push 250 on smaller lawns like 10-15 m sf , then the quality of work gets worse. Of the 250 m sf, how many stops are in that square footage?
you have one guy working a 40 hour schedule handling 2000 acounts with a ride-on? Are they only getting 2 apps a years?

Anthony: we have replaced just about everything once on each of our machines. Cables, belts, and pulleys will be the first to go. We have broken an axle, they have since improved that to a larger diameter axle. We have replaced the flow-jet pump the generator and the trans-axle.
P.S. everything is easily replaced
