A crowded picture of the truck shop. The Sterling will fit all the way in, although can't get the hood all the way open because of the toolbox on the back wall.

Back side of the building. Offices are on the other side, but we don't venture in there too often. Overall the property covers about 3/4 of a block. Finally have enough room to get Landscape, lawn maintenance, chem, pruning, and irrigation all into one place. Still a lot of work left to do, but coming along.

I don't even own the joint. I'm just the shop manager. Up until now we had rented 2 sites to run out of. Landscape out of the west side of the cities, and Lawn out of the east side. Its a good outfit to work for.

Same question.. and how long you've been in business for?

I have no clue how many accounts. Not my end of the business. We run 12 mowing crews, 3 of them with 3 guys and the rest are 2 man set-ups. We run 2 landscape crews right now, because as we all know, landscaping is a bit slow right now. We have 3 chemical applicators, 2 irrigation guys, and I have 4 guys in the shop with me. One truck/trailer mechanic, one small engine mechanic, a parts runner/tire tech/handyman, and one guy on nights that takes care of sharpening and changing mower blades and servicing mowers (oil changes, etc.).

I think the boss has had the company for 15 years now.

Unbelievable...I like that set up. You have a guy that works nights to maintain the mowers? I would never even think of that but that is perfect. The guys come in a 6 or 7 at night..unless you have enough back-ups what do you do? Sounds like your boss is a good business man.

nice set up tell your boss, and nice to work for what seems like a good company. we are thinking of a night guy in the future for our mower maintenance. we are only three crews right now though

That is like 36 People + Landscape crews. Would love to see more pictures-mowers,trucks. But don't get yourself in trouble with the owner. I Hope to be that large one day.

I lived in Edina for 4 years as a youngin' my dad worked for bachman's, I wish I could remember what street I lived on... but it was right by a park with a big lake to walk around and a water park and playground too i believe lol.

Yep, the boss is one helluvaguy. Still puts in more hours than almost anyone else, even if it is only doing sales calls. He is extremely aggressive with his business, and demanding as hell. But at the same time, he is very fair with all of the people that work here. Definitely the best horse I have ever hitched my wagon to.
