Overseeding Question

When you guys do an aerating job with overseeding do you spread any straw over the yard after you seeded or just let it lay?<br>Also, from previous posts I believe spring and fall are the best times to overseed.

I do not use any straw unless it's on a hill or rain is expected. Straw just puts more weeds in the lawn (my opinion).
