GMC is offering 0% for 72 months. I am seriously considering buying a new one. Is anybody else?

I had two GMC Sierras. I really like the trucks. however, ber aware that the 6.0 liter engine is a fuel hog and gets terrible fuel mileage. Even worse than terrible, if towing a loaded trailer. I loved the ride, and handling though.

I'm considering one as well.

Among the gassers, the GM variant is one of the best buys. Dodge only has a 5 speed auto with the HEMI, and GM has a better ride when compared to other 2500 series. Let alone the GM has a tighter turning radius. Plus decent financing and you can't go wrong. I paid cash for a vehicle once, and it took a lot out of me to write a cheque for that, lol. With free financing over a long period, can't pass that up.

I have a buddy that works on a farm where they used a 2010 gmc 2500 6.0 gasser to pull gopher gas wagons this spring (each weighing around 25k when full). He was in a LB7 dmax the day before and said the 2010 wasnt far behind the dmax if not up to par... Granted the LB7 is no lmm but its still saying somethin.

I owned an older 5.0L V8 (175hp) but the truck was fairly light back in 1990 as well, and it was a fine runner. GM engines can take more abuse than others when you factor in changing the oil late, etc. I'm not a fan of the newer Dodge small blocks because they use 16 SIXTEEN spark plugs. $240 for a tune up! They claim it needs to be done every 30K ...no thanks.

good deal. the gasser is no worse than any other. Its a hog still but so are all.

You tow over CDL weight with a 6.0 and youll see 6-7 mpg at best

empty, 13.

the 6.0 is a hog on gas but its a great motor and the mileage isnt much diffrent than other brands of full size truck mileage

Compared to what? a diesel? I thought this thread was about a 0% loan? I got a 72 month 0% on my 04. Two more payments and shes all mine. 0% loan in basically free money, if you want to put it that way.

Compared to 18 other 3/4 ton pickups I have owned, from all 3 major U.S. manufacturers, and with diesel and gas engines of several sizes and varieties.
The only truck I had that got worse fuel mileage was a 1979 Ford with a 460 gas engine. With that truck, I figured gallons/mile, not miles/gallon.:laugh:
