It can legally pull as much as you get it permitted for but with a C13 I would keep it under 80K. The biggest deciding factor would be transmission and rearend combinations. I am not sure about Allison trans but with the 4.88 that would give some low end pull. I'm partial to Eaton 13 and 18 speeds.

The automatic would be a deal killer for me I would rather have a 13-18 speed. As for the weight yes you can pull the tag with a 20 ton hoe on it but it will feel really slow with the automatic plus the braking power will be not the best. The C-13 has a good Jake not sure how well it would do with a automatic.
Personally I would pass on the truck just my opinion the automatic is only good if you are driving in city traffic or lots of stop and go.

If you want the automatic option look for something with an 18 speed autoshift, will be hard to find in a used dump truck though. That trans with a 4.88 rearend could easily move 120K with that engine, but will bog on long hills. There is a difference between auto shift and automatic.

when i used to work for the trash company all the trucks except for the roll offs were autos, some of the front loaders would routinly be over 80K gross some routes over 100K. they hauled it just fine a little slow out of the hole but after they got moving they were fine.

Its a great transmission but for stop and go, it will not be as good if your making 10 mile laps hauling dirt, nor would I want it on regional hauls, which is where a dump truck like this is going to see the most miles.
