Does anyone have any innovative ideas for low impact, low cost bush removal? Like making a frame with a winch or what have you. I generally pull them out by hooking up to a truck, sometimes digging in and cutting some roots with an axe.. but I really don't want to drive into anyone's yard if I don't have to.

30 years ago picked up 4 medal sawhorses from a steel mill. 6'long 4'high. weighted about 200lbs each. the cables on come along or electric winch would break. rigged up 100 ton shop press that would rip out anything! the key word being rip. anything big and I still had to dig out the big roots. it was easier to dig a 6" hole and cut off below ground level. gave them away 20 years ago.

If there is a large enough tree nearby, you can use a come-along strapped low on the tree.
