I figured I would start a thread since a lot has changed. Mainly I don't do pools anymore like we did earlier this spring. I will try to get a lot of work pictures and equipment pictures this week and next week. I want to get a fleet picture but it seems that we never have time to make it happen.

Anyways to start off here is a picture of my new shop, its 2000 sq. ft. which is a big upgrade from where we were at. Also in there is a picture of my new toro zero turn.

Well I got by with the walk behinds back a while ago because the majority of my work was small to medium residential. Now that I'm doing more large jobs I needed larger equipment. The stander is. Good mower except for when it is wet. It is pretty heavy for it's size and it can do some damage on soft spongy lawns after it rains. Overall it's a good machine.

Nice Toro, I have the same one...it's a monster and leaves the best cut on St. Aug in my opinion.

I also have a Stander(36") and it is tough on wet grass but is so efficient.

Thanks man. So far I'm impressed with the toro. The turboforce leaves such a clean cut it is insane. I honestly think that the toro leaves a nicer finish cut on maintained lawns than the scag.

I have a tree dolly to carry the trunks to the trailer. There we lift em by hand. Three guys can lift a big section. We just get a pulloff to unload the trailer. Put a chain wrapped around some big branches in the front and then run it along the bottom. At the dump just hook it to the loaders bucket and he pulls it off. Takes less than a minute to unload the trailer.

Today we did a color install at a apartment complex. I'm pretty sure I'm going to be taking over the maintenance there in a month or two also. I know it's late in the summer to be planting summer annuals but the annuals they had in there were diseased because the other landscaper didn't treat them. These are only supposed to last until November then we will be doing another color change. Anyways let me know what you guys think.

I personally like the more formal look of not planting random. When they grow together they will look awesome. There spaced about 10" apart. The maintenance will be a pretty good money maker. But on commercial maintenance the profit margins are small than residential. Ya the trailer has been used since day one. No sense in buying it if we ain't going to use it.

I agree, I am more of a pattern guy myself as well, but I have seen some "gods of landscaping" on this site take guys to the cleaners over planting in patterns. I say if it looks good, it looks good, no need to infuse a bunch of complicated-ness. 10" is good spacing, they will look great when they fill in. When I plant color I try and find plant stock that has already bloomed pretty full so that it has instant impact to the landscape when they are planted.....but I imagine you had a hard time finding such plants this late in the season, at least for summer annuals. Glad to see the trailer getting dirty :weightlifter: I wouldn't let it sit either! Lol

Did you say you could get 2 ztr's, a wb and a stander on that thing? My trailer is 16' as well and I just can't see all 4 of those on there at once lol. I would love to see a pic of that setup 'wink wink' lol.

I actually don't have the grille guard on the truck anymore. It got in an accident last november and the grille guard has been laying on the side of my garage since. I really need to put it back on but I just keep forgetting. I think it looked badass when I had the grille guard on. Make sure you get a good one like a ranch hand if you go that route. What I eventually want to do is get replacement front and rear bumpers. It looks beast.
