View Full Version : Where to rent a Harley Rake in Knoxville, TN

I'm a new homeowner in Knoxville and I need to rent a Harley Rake. I have a small tractor (28 hp) that I can use to pull it. Where is the best place to rent one in my area? I may be willing to sub the work out if anyone in the area has the equipment and does this type of work. I have about an acre that I need to smooth out seed and mulch.

Check knox-tenn rentail, this may be hard to find as most harley rakes are setup for bobcats. The only one that is still open is downtown off Central Ave. May also want to check with united rentals. What part oftown are you in?

Bobcat, operator & harley rake $75/hr. The Bobcat can cover a lot of ground in an hour. I did a little checking around before I renovated my lawn...didn't find anyone with a harley rake for a 3PH & PTO.
Bobcat of Knoxville on Middlebrook will rent you the rake if you have access to a skid steer.

I live in the Choto area, south of Farragut.
All I'm finding are as you described...rakes for skid steers and dingos. I was hoping to find one to hook to the tractor and play with it all weekend.
Avguy, are you saying you have the equipment and charge $75/hr, or is that what you paid?

It may be something you could do with a tiller and box blade. I know that Knox-tenn had tillers last time I was over there.

Tough Luck......No, I do not own a Bobcat. In the past 2 yrs I've renovated about 1.5 acres. If you are interested send me a PM & I'll pass along the name & # of the guy that helped me.
On my last project I had 3 guys, a 90HP New Holland with a rockhound (he owns), a tandem axle dump truck & I rented the Harley Rake from Bobcat of Knoxville. Took about 9hrs start to finish & he charged me $800 which I thought was more than fair. $75/hr is about the going rate around here for a Bobcat and an operator.
Here's my story...
