That would be a really good idea if there were some recognized standards. Seems like it would mostly affect the higher end properties during the bid process. It would also raise the average bid price because of the standards. I'm familiar with ISO, the subsidiary of Johnson Wax I worked for spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to become ISO certified. There are ISO standards for the service industry. It's been 4 years but, I think it's ISO 9004.

I know in tree care there are SEVERAL things as far as work practices that you can get into a lot of trouble for. Then when it comes to pruning there are a couple of practices that you can get into trouble for. All I am askin is if there are standards in place for things like that.
ie; you shall not remove the debris deflectors from lawn mowers.
you shall not remove more than 1/3 of the folliage from turf in a single mowing.
