I am looking to replace or rebuild my Kawasaki Engine Fd711d EFI. I was told that because of the EFI, that I could only get a replacement engine from John Deere. Is this true? Can I change it out with a non EFI fd711d engine? The present engine has 130 compression in both cylinders, smokes like a freight train. trying to make it through this season. Any suggestions?
