Would a flyer campaign work for Power Washing?

I'm not in that business but I'm thinking of buying a portable gas washer, I guess a pole and a surface cleaner. 3.5 gpm 3600 psi or so.

I was wondering if 5000 flyers would generate work? I've never seen Power washing ad before and I'm not sure if they would go in the same neighbourhoods I put window cleaning flyers in (Newer areas with casement windows).

Just looking at for some insight in marketing especially since it's going to be slow for the next month and a half.

I,m not sure what part of the country your in, but in North Florida I have not had good luck with flyers. All the flyers I see are selling on low pricing.

Yes, flyers work if they are done right. That being said, you will not be able to make it work with the equipment you are talking about. A high volume-low pressure set up is the best way to go

Good for you for looking into how to market before how to wash. First thing to do is create your marketing plan & budget, then figure out your overhead, fixed and variable.

Then find a power washing forum and learn about correct techniques, it's easy to get excited about techniques trucks and equipment, but don't forget about your marketing plan.

When you have everything compiled and are pretty confident in the proper techniques, rent a power washer and wash your house. If your still into it, then get the proper insurance and licensing.

By following these steps you will avoid needless questions like how much to charge for this or will this equipment work for this.

Thinking of going that route since I have to distribute flyers anyway for window cleaning an aeration this fall.

I don't want to dilute a flyers message too much by offering too many services. Actually, just one service per flyer is best I think. I was thinking of putting power washing on the back of the windows and the aeration flyers so it looks like a separate flyer.

Just as JC mentioned, the 3.5 gpm will not be sufficient. You need at the very bare bones minimum 4.0 gpm, but preferably at least 5.0. No need for a pole either, just downstream, it will eliminate the need for any pole.
