I have had a problem with oil contamination now for at least 200 hours. Originally the dealer thought it was antifreeze. Of course no real tests were done, but since the oil did not flame up on the dipstick when fire was applied, it was determined to be antifreeze. I obviously have a liquid cooled Kaw. In any event, some one was wise enough to heat to oil up to see if the fuel would boil to the top, and it did. There is evident in the carb a bubbling leak, so the carb must be replaced.

Oil has been discarded now, so no analysis can be done.

My concern is, has damage been done. We are talking some major contamination, perhaps 50% increase in fluid content do to gas. A seal on the back of the machine has been seeping oil, assumed to be due to increased pressure. Not sure if that will have to be replaced.

Without oil analysis, what other things can be done to test for possible damage? Would a compression test be conclusive? Not sure if I will need to sell this thing or not?

Any help is much appreciated
