Dry here too...I was driving by a commercial property complex on Monday and saw a lawn care company blowing dust around. The grass looked like it was all sprayed with roundup or the equivalent. I would expect that to be a yearly contract for those guys in which case why mow it. I only cut about half of my yards last week and will probably only be cutting a third of them this week. Its that time of year, just gotta live with it I guess.

It depends if people like to spend the money to water their yards here! Most people complain about their bills so first thing to suffer is the yard. They said this is the driest it has been since like 1890 something. Thats in northwest Arkansas.

I agree that looks good compared to some of my lawns without irrigation. Hope the drought ends soon.

the only area that is irrigated is around the clubhouse, and they wont turn it on, the builder is having some financial strains, he is trying to save $ everywhere he can.

thanks i think the stripes are a bit shotty, but it does look good from a distance.

yes, please rain, say some prayyes and d a rain dance, local news says we are going to get some in the morning, but if your weather man is like ours, they "might" be wrong, hope everyone is having a great year:usflag:

Places dryer than that here. We have one home owners association we havent mowed in literally a month. But had hit and miss rain the last two days, some pretty good showers and temps cooled wayyy down. At least renovations will be good.

Not in CA. Having a hunter solar sync on your controller is a big help.

Southern Indiana, I've got some yards I haven't cut in 6 weeks... Only thing keeping my other yards alive is the morning dew.

Ya know...its great to see that I am not the only LCO that waits til the grass needs cut before actually cutting it. Around here, MANY contractors say that if the contract is to cut weekly, then the grass gets cut weekly--whether it needs it or not. We have a Red Lobster (and several other businesses) here that I watch and sure enough, every 7 days it gets "cut". We havent had rain here in nearly 4 weeks. All this contractor is doing is following his own tire tracks and kickin up a ton of dust--there isn't any grass to cut. Hats off to all of us that care enough bout our customers and their lawns to cut when they need it--not just cause its been 7 days since the last service. Suppose to rain tomorrow and Saturday--We need it!

Supposed to rain here Saturday. It's gotten very cool since last Thursday but it really hasn't helped. Everything is biweekly now for me

makin it rough on us, most of ours dont want to have the bushes trimmed or anything extra right now either, i cant wait to see what winter has in store for us

Yeah, I have been doing random odd jobs that have been on my list for a while with my free time. I keep hoping for rain, but none yet. We finally got a break temperature wise but there isn't a chance of rain greater than 30% in the 10 day forecast, but hopefully that will change.

I am hoping we have a nasty winter so i can get the snow accounts rolling. Although since we had a bad winter last year, with my luck this year will be mild.
