Yes, ... I would not call it .. many, many...

many, many would have been the # lost if I remained where I was at for any longer... many, many woluld have been the entire database and all the content.

Tried to make it as seamless as possible without shutting down the site... sorry for some lost data.

A move for the better is always a good thing.:D

I hope this server does a better job handeling the highest traffic site on the net.

Yes it was. We (AssortedInternet.com, the new host) helped to make the move this morning.

The database for Lawnsite.com is pretty big - around 550 MB. Dumping it, transfering it to our server and importing it takes around 3 hours total. So, you probably saw a 3 or so hour gap in posts. Not great, but at least it was the morning hours, so that not too many folks were online.

And yes, the new server should be plenty fast. If it isn't, please contact me personally and I'll look into it:

ahhhhhhhhhh.......this explains everything......was wondering why there wasnt no notices in my email.........and the missing replies
