6 bucks per regular 6" annual. that included removal of old annual tilling bed, planting new annual, pine fines and initial watering.

I switched to 6" longtime ago.

takes just as long to plant a 6" plant as it does a 4.5". the 6" has more plugs and looks better from day one and has better survival. plus you need less of them...so I'm planting fewer plants, but having a better show, IMO

I might be a lowballer too, because I am charging 25 installed [5 flat min]. I am getting my flats for 7$ though and if removal and prep is needed then that is extra.

most 18 plant flats are 4 -4.5" pots.

I've never even consider installing plugs into a landscape...which is what those nursery packs are more or less...

Wow, $45 a flat seems high. How many flats do you install a year? Around here they run us $9.25 a flat with a total of 36 flowers in them. Previous years we were getting them at $5 and $8.

What I get is the 18ct 4" flat. The 7 bucks is high now compaired to the 4.75 I started off with a few years ago. I think they are going to be 7.25 or 7.50 this year.

I agree with Marc about the 36 plant flats. These plants don't do well and are not showy enough to impress your customers. You will be plagued with complaints as these plants die and because of the perception that you installed puny plants that lack pizazzz.
