I recently was asked to place a bid on 2 apartments....a six unit and an 8 unit on one huge lot. There is approximately 46,000 sq. feet of grass. Trimming shouldnt be too bad. Was thinking of pricing at $100 per cut. I am in MA, am I too low or high? Shouldnt take my 3 man crew more than 45 minutes to complete.

Around here that would probably go for $60 - $70. Finished in 1 hour by myself. You say "trimming shouldn't be too bad".. this means 10-15 minutes to me. If it's more like 30 minutes of trimming.. I could see $90 - $100.

I think 3 men should be done in 30 minutes.

I would have to say about anywhere from $80-$110. Next year I will be getting 4 apartments to cut. One plot is about 20,000 sq,. ft., one about 40,000 sq. ft., one about 90,000 sq. ft, and one about 130,000 sq. ft. Yhey all ahve alot of trimming thoiugh so I will be making some good money. Good luck witht your bid anyway.

I would stick with the $100 a cut. If there is very little trimming, then my lowest would be $80.

I see this 2 ways. Like everyone else I would be at $80-$90 range but wouldnt bid without seeing it.

But if it takes 3 guys 45 minutes, what do you try to average per man hour? If you are in the low end at say $45 per man hour you would be at $101.25 for this job. I am not saying it is worth it, just another way of looking at this job verses the time spent with your crew.

So your $100 might be right on!

Trimming not to bad? Maybe you should go measure it.

Also, your equipment is a factor in this. How long will it take you with your mower?
