View Full Version : Late Summer Crabgrass & Foxtail

I am having trouble with crabgrass and green foxtail popping up in late July and early August. I treated my lawn with a pre-emergant in early spring. Is there anything that can be safely applied to the crabgrass and green foxtail to kill it? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Frost will do the trick. LOL I have breakthrough all over. Drive 75 will kill it, its $75 a lb / 1 acre. Takes a coulpe of weeks to kill it so by sept it will be dead. Question is it worth it? I did one lady that had it pretty bad. I pitty anyone that did not treat, would have been a bad year to experiment. Shopuld have done split apps.

:blob3: we tank mix Acclaim and the crabgrass is dead in a few days, BUT VEREY expensive, $500.00 per gallon, but it is the best stuff i've used. you can also use trimec plus but you will have to spray a second or even a third time. tony
