I have a honda hrc 216 that I use for my yard only. It has slowed down and I have tried to adjust the cables. They are now run all the way down to the stop on the wire that adjusts the speed control. The throttle does not stay at the highest rpm power setting either. How do I go about adjusting the linkage to make it propel at a regular walking speed???

Thanks for the help

Props

Sorry for the delay, On your throttle issue open the assembly and you will find a spring that puts tension the handle. It may be weak or broken from rust, If it's still intact stretch it a little and re-assemble. If it's broken it can be purchased separately.

I'm still working on the drive issue, Will post back later this eve.....

On your drive issue, Check the trans fluid and make sure it's full.

To see if the cable is stretched too far, Remove the outer adjuster nut and pull the housing out of the bracket a little. Put a hose clamp around the handlebar and cable housing to hold the cable in place then try the drive again.

If you now have a higher ground speed replace the stretched cable.....
