Not to sure on the Top 10, but I know a while back Brickman was the top company...it would be my guess that they are still on top. I have papers from about five years ago that showed there income. Ill have to dig it out and share that info with ya later on today if I can find it in the office.

If you get a free Lawn & Landscape subscription you will get more info than you care to see. Just the last issue or two listed the biggest 50 companies. TruGreen has been the biggest for many years. I think Valley Crest was number two.

One you get Lawn & Landscape you;ll start getting other free mags as well (Irrigation & Erosion, Compact Equipment, Turf, Landscape Management, ect.). The mags are paid for by advertisers so there is no useful equipment information in the mags.

This is based on 2007 revenue from L & L (cant find the current list, sorry) so things may have changed a bit given the recent economic turmoils.

1 Trugreen
2 Valleycrest
3 Brickman
4 Davey Tree
5 Scotts
6 Bartlett Tree
7 Gothic Landscape
8 Ambius
9 Weed Man
10 Lawn Doctor

and US Lawn is 11

I should also mention, that is the North American top 10. Obviously, Canadian based Weed Man gets most of its revenue from Canada. They have an increasing market share in the US but continues to get most of its revenue is north of the border.

Right now its me. Gross 200 million a week, and use push mowers!

Around here Lawn O Green ( Lawn O Joke) has a big market share, but are loosing clients at a rapid rate.

The other big dog around here closed up shop after being turned into INS for illegals.

I do know brickman got a $500 million line of credit in spring 2008 to do M&A with, nice war chest

Based on 2009 Revenues:
1. Trugreen: $1,311,132,213.00
2. Valleycrest: $940,000,000.00
3. Brickman: $687,000,000.00
4. Davey: $562,000,000.00
5. Scotts: $272,600,000.00
6. Bartlett: $152,000,000.00
7. Ambius: $123,500,000.00
8. Weed Man: $105,000,000.00
9. U.S. Lawns: $94,000,000.00
10. Lawn Doctor: $86,000,000.00

I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure Brickman is the biggest maintenance company. The other companies such as Trugreen are #s from Trugreen Chemlawn and Landcare combined. Valleycrest does a huge amount of construction.

Brickman, just moved into this area about 2 years ago. Call them lowballers. And quality is substandard. They are maintaining former properties of mine in a horrible condition. Makes my head spin.............
