I've got these two 60 year old oaks in my front yard and they have always been a headache. I just reseeded my yard about a month back, and the acorns have already taken over.

What is the easiest way to clean them up? Is there some sort of yard vacuum that can be rented?

Rake + snow shovel + barrells/trash cans = over a hill or the back 40. We have acorns and black walnuts but we already have the squirrles. They make pretty short work of them.

I wish my squirrels could eat that fast.

I mean the yard is covered in them.

With my new grass, I can't rake them up. It will rip up the grass.

Maybe Obama can come pick up the acorns. He could register all of them to vote.

I swear, I was going to say a big shop-vac earlier this afternoon! Ah, a picture is worth a thousand words... Suck 'em up, contain them, dump in trash can. Done.

I bow then in a pile with a backpack blower and then suck them up with the hand pickup on my cyclone rake.
