I looked up my 15hp kawasaki on ebay...Definitely check ebay out I can get mine brand new shipped to my door for like $700...Thought that was a hell of a deal. I also found an ubandance of brand new transmission for the same exmark walk behind for like $250...So for under $1000 I can put brand new major components on my mower..It's definitely worth a look.

Most likely the cheapest thing is to overhaul what you have now or short block kit. Using a different brand engine means new wiring, throtle control, and muffler. Would be much easier to keep the same engine.

Thanks I just don't want to drop 1400-1700 in a new motor.

I would be willing to bet you could get a brand new Kohler for alot cheaper than some guy tearing it apart and rebuilding. I don't care who the mechanic is, I would rather have new any day.

Agreed, I ordered a Honda for my Power Rake and it was fast shipping and it only cost me like $230.00 shipped to my door. Still running strong too. I got it from smallenginewarehouse.com
