Just wondering...
There was a point this summer where my own fall fell short of top 5 status simply because I didn't have time to baby it. However, now I'm back to top 2 in a subdivision of about 500 homes.
Where do you stand?

all alone. just the way i like it. No associations for me! Ever heard the saying "the mechanic has the junkiest car". hahahhah I do it all day. Dont care about my lawn. I keep it clean, cut and neat but dont treat it because then i have to cut it more.

for sure it's the best......slit seeded twice a year, aerated twice a year, best ferts out there, nothing but kentucky blue grass with a bit of perennial rye, grub control twice a year, leather jacket control, cut twice per week, it never ends

But all this work pays off......we usually get atleast 3-4 new clients each season who drive by our property and want theirs to look like ours.....plus I just love creating the best looking grass possible....wish all our clients just said make it the best and you have an unlimited budget...:clapping:

I have creeping charlie, a horrid slope that require tons of water, shaded backyard that barely has grass. Its all a work in progress which I knew when I bought the house. If I have a area of my house I know will get worked on in the next few years I'll keep it mostly presentable. Throwing down 2k in pavers and not getting paid for it kinda sucks.

Maybe 295 out of 300 or so - and I couldn't give one rat's ass less about it either.

Several times I stopped myself short when starting to renovate and install a putting green. After 70 hrs a week all year long I really don't care to take care of one more property.

The POA I live in did say I had to remove a boat hull from my front yard - I buried it 1/3 deep by the bow and painted the Exxon Valdez on the stern - apparently the POA board didn't have the same sense of humor I had.

i am by far the best in the whole north side of this town, as it is an older area and most are only fair. i keep a pretty tight lawn out of my own vanity.

I was 2 or 3 out of 100 closest. But with less than 3" of rain in the last 90 days ( not counting the 8" Friday) I dropped to about 20. All places are 1/2 acre or more. I cut 3 and 1/2 acres. Can't stop the weeds blowing in from the fields.

Neat and cut. Plan to move into a rural area and raise goats and chickens. No city life for me.

Hail no. We have too many old river birch trees so grass doesn't even grow in most of the front. I keep it cut low and keep the daily leaf fall under control. 1/4 acre of more sh!tty grass out back and I just keep it constantly maintained. We don't have the money to go renovating it and I honestly like it how it is. Low maintenance other than the dang river birches. I get enough lawn maintenance every week. I like that my lawn isn't some little prize possession. I wouldn't even know how to fix it. I am all cutting/trimming/mulch and cleanup. I know nothing about fertilizers aerating and all that. Evertime I try to read a thread about it I get really confused. I wish I could learn about all of that. It's where the real $$$ is at.

I keep mine up weekly. My only problem is that I am constantly moving beds and plants. My lawn and gardens rate pretty high. I maintain 25 properties in my neighborhood and I think it is important to lead by example.

That's a nice dump your driving there and I like the stripes too, and that's the cleanest landfill I've ever seen.

To Detroit?

My lawn is #1 by far but before I put the lawn in at this house my lawn was always about the worst. Sometimes I think it was a msitake to do because now I just have one more that I have to do a decent job on.

Dude, I told you before. YOU'RE NOT IN THE SOUTH.

You're in the Transition Zone. Get busy and start striping because I KNOW you can do it.
