I have a 14.5 hp OHV Briggs & Stratton engine that had a blown head gasket. Here is my problem when I went to put it back together I noticed that the push rods were different. They are both the same length but one is steel with a round ball type end and the other is aluminum with a bullet type head. I'm not sure what goes where. any info please.

the steel push rod is intake side.. alum exh.
it has to do with thermal expansion and the compression release
