We had a huge hail storm here in Phoenix earlier this week. Many vehicles on dealerships lots were severely damaged. I have already heard of a Chevy dealership having a sale but I am in the market for a ford and they haven't announced anything yet. So has anyone had any experience with this type of deal or is it just going to be another gimmick.

We bought a brand new, hail damaged, 2001 Nissan Sentra for our daughter. It was loaded, and it had a sticker price of around $16,000, as I recall. The dealer was having a hail damage sale, and they took a little over 40% off of the sticker price. That was a heck of a deal, if you did not mind the little hail dents all over it. Later,it was in another hail storm, and we were able to get our insurance to cover all of the repairs. We lucked out on that.
But, yes, dealers offer some real good deals on hail damaged vehicles, as they get a big settlement on them from their insurance company.
