Does someone know how to place an image in an ad on Craigslist. I' ve seen it done but unlike the for sale ads there's no place for ad image on services for sale even though I see them. Any help would be great Thanks:)

I'm also wondering the same thing. Never used craigslist, but I need to sell some things.

what im talking about is that when you go to put your message or add in the services portion of craigslist, i dont see where im able to add text. i know how to add it when im positing something for sale. thats easy but its not there to select when im posting a service!

Its really quite easy with photobucket. You link images just like you do on this site...doesn't matter if its in the sale or service section. You have to use the img code.

Yes, and photobucket makes it easy because all you have to do is click it.

What I don't understand is when you go into the Craigslist site what do you click on to add the image when nothing is there for services just for sale stuff? I'm not that good at computers. I'm wanting to post a flyer type ad. Thanks:confused:

well i just tried to post an add on craigslist. i made up a flyer and saved it in photobucket as an image and then copied the link and saved it in the window and when you click on my add you get the link. NOT THE IMAGE. this is exactly what we are talking about. i dont think this guy is too knowledgeable about what we are trying to say. when you are trying to sell something there are windows where you can upload an image. as there are in various other places when posting on craigslist. BUT there IS NO WINDOWS to upload images when posting for a service. you simply need to write out what you want and thats all you can do. i see a few people have still managed to post up a flier type add but i cant figure out how to do it and the advice that was given in this thread did not work for me. please re confirm what you are saying. here is a link to my ad on CL.

OK guys i figured it out. you have to use a HTML code. not an IMG code. just go to photobucket and it will have a series of codes next to the image. just click HTML and it will instantly copy it.

Sorry, html code is right...my bad. And that's what I was saying about copying, no need for copy/paste...it does it automatically for you.

Here you go

<img src="copyurlofphotoherebetweenquotations"></img>

Use <BR> to put empty lines so that you can separate the image from your text. You can put <BR> above and below the image, as many as you want to make it look presentable. You do have to host your image somewhere like photobucket, but this is the code you use. If you need help designing your craigslist ad layout I can write all the coding so all you have to do is copy it and paste it if you throw me like 5-10 bucks.
