We are getting ready to start up in the next 3 weeks. I need input on what size truck to use for towing a 7x 16 enclosed trailer? 1 ton,1/2 ton 3/4 ton?

At least 3/4. If I had it to do again I'd go 1 ton with diesel.

Personally, I wouldn't go with anything less than a 1 ton like an F-350/ GM-3500. I have an F-350 with a dumpbody insert ... works great and I have a 6x12 enclosed that is pulls.

Ya nowwadays anything less than a 3/4 ton doesn't cut the mustard if you are pulling a trailer or packing heavy loads a 1/2 ton is good for if you just use the truck for travelling to the jobs and using the truck for light work.
Good luck
Ive got a 7X16 and pull it with the half ton, power wise it is no problem, but it is a little heavy.
that is why I am looking for a 3/4 ton.
since it is still a work/personal vehicle i do not want a dually, anyways I already have a 1-ton stake bed.
.
It is better to have too much truck as opposed to too little.
Go atleast 3/4 since you have the opportunity to choose. The price difference is minimal.
at least a 3/4 ton.....nowadays , them 3/4 tons are built pretty darn good...nice suspension on them......... me personally, i prefer a one tone or bigger, but then again, i also pull a 30 foot flatbed at times with big tractors or skid steers on it....... if ya get a 3/4 ton, i dont think you will be unhappy at all
