Atlanta, GA meetup idea

Some of you may be familiar with the website meetup.com. For those of you who aren't, it is a place where one can start/join a group based on personal interests and then (brace yourself....) actually meet up in person with said group.
The only caveat to meetup.com is that you have to pay a subscription fee to start your own group and post it on their site. I had the idea of perhaps starting a meetup of LCOs in the greater-Atlanta area. If anyone local to Atlanta was interested in wanting to be a part of forming such a group, this thread would be the place to post ideas and/or what you would be willing to commit to. I think the premise of several individuals starting a group vs. one person is crucial to its success.

This year has been pretty good. Take a look around--leaves are still on the trees. I'll be doing cleanups through Christmas.

Meetup.com charges upwards of $19.00 per month. This one here could be free and listed in the "Social Groups" section under the "User CP" button.

yep , its pretty nasty outside after that rain last night , with more on the way. I live up here near Spivey now , hoping to tap into that area around the lake a little more , LOTS of wet leaves. Some people will pay the going rate , some will balk and rather rake for hours. Been trying out signs this year along with flyers to drum up more business , its there if you push hard enough.

I was thinking a good meetup time/spot would be at the Starbuck's in Lenox Square Mall later on this month like on 1/17/11 or 1/18/11. Please post your availability dates here. I'm hoping it's a central location. I'm 30 miles south of Lenox Square. Considering that most of the LCOs who work around Atlanta are in the burbs, it seemed logical to me that Buckhead would be as close to equidistant for everyone. Once I have a tally of the confirmations of those who will show, a better meeting spot may show itself evident.
