Ok so im gettin ready for winter and i want to Fab out a little thing like the Back up buddy
Is it ok for me just to get a 7pin and wire 2 light to it? I've already tested the connector and lights it works
Im just wondering if i will mess up my 2500 by doing so......

If so all i would need id to make a mount that slides into the hitch then but a 7pole connector - $5

That should be easy. Find the amp draw for the 2 lights make sure the reverse light fuse is larger than the expected draw. Make bracket for them to fit into the hitch and then wire them to the reverse light output in the plug and the ground in the plug.

So its just a straight up.....The lights are plugged straight into the 7pin connector???
No relay,fuse, or anything?
Thats how i plan to do my lights..... Done really wanna bother with installing a relay unless its a really good idea....

that's right no relay !i just ran a dedicated ground for each light ,and ran the ground inside the light instead of to the mounting pivot to the light itself .
