small engine tune ups

hey guys, id like to get into doing tune ups for myself and a few other people, does anyone have any good tips or websites for me to learn from? im not the best with engines etc but would like to be.

Chilton prints a book for 2-12hp 2&4 stroke engines that is very good. Covers several makes. Should be able to get it at Barnes & Noble. Mines getting a bit out of date it was priced at $20 in 93.

Briggs also has a good repair manual for about $15. Their web site also has a tips area.

Also check your local tech schools, some still have small engine courses.

I bought a Briggs & Stratton CD rom repair manual at Wally World for $7.50. Real good graphics and such. I've been messin with engines ever since I was 5, and still luv it. Of course, the only engines I work on is Briggs & Stratton. I have never messed with any others. Good luck
