i have a customer with 17k of lawn that is covered in weeds. so my plan was to kill it and then slit seed at 10 lbs per k. is it to late to do this process. i am also giving him a quote on sod so hopefully he will go that route. he is getting an irrigation system also by the way.

You most likely do not have time to wait for the roundup to kill the weeds.
I believe you can spray the weeds w/ roundup & 24 hours later seed.
However, call roundup to make sure.

it is on the label, no need to call them. i cant tell you either, but read the label.
i agree with above, you really dont have time to spray, wait to die, or actually seed right now and get it to take well before frosts move in(assuming you have a similar season as we do, basically we dont seed past mid october and our mowing and leaves etc end by the end of November.)

I would think you would be borderline. Our last seed date here is about the last wk of September, and we are a month past that, but you are further south.......
here, the calander says its getting late, but its still warm and the outlook is still for warm temps, but the thing is will we get any water, as we are in very bad drought conditions.
