flower bed marking

I am just wondering, when your on a customers property and you use snapshot or another pre-em for the beds or if you use round up or another post em in their flower beds/landscape beds do you put marking flags in them? Also if you do, do you put just on in the first landscape bed or where exactly do you put them?

At least here in IL,

As long as it isn't a liquid then no flag is needed. But, you need to make sure you send them a bill within thirty days stating what was applied.
