By far the best mower Ive ever owned, would love to have another one in place of my old body exmark, mine has about 500 hrs on it and never had any problems. These mowers are flawless in my opinion.

Check into the efi engine the Kawi is hard on fuel.

Probably go with 29hp kohler.

That would be much better on fuel. I have the 29 Kawi, I've only wishdfor more power twice. The first was vutting 4foot feild grass and then when mulching leaves yesterday.

Anyone have a ballpark cost of one of these? I'm figuring around 10,000?

For $9k that has to be the advantage series. No way a full feature 60" is going for less than $10k unless you get fleet pricing.

Rode a 27hp kawasaki today! Gonna go ride a kohler and compare. For the price of the 27hp vs. the 29 kohler. The kohler is gonna be too much.

I paid $9k out the door for mine. If you have a contract with a church or school they will take $1000 off.

Seriously? I have a church account! That would get me down into my price range.

Yes, but you have to have a current contract with the church. They will check on it. And if you want the AS model you would be at $8k.

Where in Ohio did you get this deal? I will look into buying there since I too am in Ohio.

I think any exmark dealer in the nation will do it. I have heard of some small dealers not offering it to customers and keeping the $1000 so make sure you ask your dealer or look on exmarks web site. A friend of mine just bought one about two weeks ago so I know they still offer it.

Ouch! Unless the 34 horse engine costs 2k more than the 29 you paid way to much.

I bought a new Lazer Z with 60 " deck and 27hp Kohler for $8400 last July. After tax it was right at $9066. I live in middle Tn.

Very nice what did you end up paying? I was in at my dealer last week to price one and they want 10,800 for the 27 hp Kohler and 11,200 for the 29 EFI. Do these prices sound right to you guys?

Those sound about right but are downright ridiculous. You can get a toro z500 with the 60" turboforce deck and 27 kohler for around $8500. That $3k price difference could buy you more equipment or be money you spend on advertising to get more work. Just my opinion.

It's a 29 hp kawasaki with a series 6 deck. It was originally price at 10,700. I got them down to 10,300. I had 2 church contracts for 2011, so that saved me 1500. Bottom line 8800.00 plus tax. I also got a striping roller and a foot controlled discharge blocker door.

Yeah I think its downright ridiculous as well. This was the price for the 2010 and in the next few weeks it will be a hold over because I have heard they are changing some things for 2011. I am going to try to get them down 500 but I don't know if they will go for it or not. We will see in march.

The toro mentioned above is compares to the lazer z as series 4 deck. For the Lazer with the series 6 deck I think I got a pretty good deal? I priced this same mower all over ohio and they were as high as 12000.
Anyway, I love it and am glad I made the purchase.
Not to mention the tax write off!

How do you get a discount for doing a church?

How do you get a discount for doing a church?

If you have a contract with a a non-profit organization such as a school or a church you can get a discount. The dealer gives the discount and is reimbursed from exmark or whatever brand mower you buy.
You must have a contract with at least 9 months left on the contract. My contracts are for the 2011 season. It saved me almost 15%.

Is this based on how many churches you have, or do you have to have at least one. If so what if someone had 5 churches

It makes no difference how many you have the discount is the same, it also does not have to be a church. It can be any non profit association that you have a contract with atleast 9 months remaining.
