I was quoted a 3045 boomer - mid 30K. Bobcat dealer same quote for around 22K

I have searched the net, did comparisons, and the bobcat checks out. something I am missing?

BC dealer told me bobcat is going after market share.

Getting cab, front mount blower, loader, used for landscaping and snow removal.

The Bobcat is a rebranded Kioti from Korea. They are a much cheaper built tractor than the New Holland. I'd steer clear if I were you. They aren't built well enough to withstand commercial duties.

The NH tractors are NOW built by LS tractor of Korea too.

My NH TC35D tractor is the shiznik fo real! Haha I beat the ever loving balls outa it since puchcased in 03 as a demo leftover with 100 hrs (1600 now) it was 45,000$ with 2 buckets (loader) backhoe Pro6 Harley rake and pallet forks. Lower bearing on ft driveshaft went 300.$ at dealer and replaced the front wheel bearings twice(easy 2 hrs for both)(carrying 1000 lbs over rated on forks 2500lbs!!! )75$ in parts for each side. Best machine ever. Easy for employees to use. Follow maintenace schedule and there isn't a problem! Case IH is another similar model, used to be ford BIG STEVE B CT STRENGTH WSL

I was not aware of that. To clarify, I don't think they are cheap because they're Korean. Korea generally builds decent stuff, although I don't think that is the case with Kiota/Bobcat tractors. Just wanted him to know that it is not really a Bobcat product.

Bobcat was bought out by Kioti, so actually it is now.

Incorrect. Bobcat Company was purchased by Doosan. Bobcat Skid Steers / CTL's (S130-S850/T180-T870) and Excavators (325-E50) are all built in North Dakota and powered by Kubota Diesel Motors.

The Bobcat Tractors are a product of the South Korean Company, Daedong. They are branded Kioti and Bobcat for sale here in North America. Daedong does not own Bobcat...it is purely a licensing agreement for a period of time limited to the tractor line.

And, For what it is worth...I replaced my John Deere 955 Tractor last year with the Bobcat CT235 and I have no regrets. I run a rental store, so you can imagine the abuse my equipment can be exposed to from time to time and the Bobcat has not missed a beat. I have had one minot warranty claim for the rear remote, but that is it. My customers put about 625 hours on it over the last 2 seasons and it has done everything expected of it. The price at the time was way below Deere on a similar model which didn't hurt, but I didn't lose anything in regard to performance and durability thus far. Just my two cents.

What model Deere were you looking at? The 3038E or 3032E are the models most comparable to the CT235. I would think that the price of those units would be very competitive with Bobcat.

Rentalguy is right on the money:

kioti has been around for over 50 years in the tractor business. Well built tractor and I'm sure the bobcat dealer would give you great service.

Going to tomorrow to BC again. Deere - at least what I priced was way high - no comparison - I could buy to attachements for what deere wanted just for the cab enclosure.

I am seeing more around and for whats it worth I need to look more into the two units that I am pricing. Thanks for for the input.

that's a great price for the bobcat with a cab.

My dealer was at 21.5K with just the loader for the 3045.

Check out the kubota mx5100, similar size and price.

We have about five of the new/newer NH boomer class tractors tucked around the shop and farms for "light" stuff for the service company. They are assembled like crap and extremely wierd designs like Hydrostatic pedal tucked under foot brakes against center console. Locked cab doors rip off during transport. The plastics on them have the gauge of a milk cartoon. The stupid safety seats that wont let you backup a incline then go forward again(think ditch). We use our boomers in baling, erosion control, and estate mowing. Sorry if this is to negative but it comes from work experience not driving around the backyard on saturdays looking at sparrows.

I have two New hollands already and they have been good. Althought this past snow storm the throttle lever inside the cab just broke, clean off, clean cut. Then the parking brake lever broke, and the mid and rear PTO handles keep popping in which makes getting off the seat or whatever it shuts the machine down.

Now the service guy working on the throttle said boy - kinda cheap huh? The parking brake - maybe wear but just plastic and the pto handles he had no idea.

I guess every brand has issues. That way they improve on that area and say next years model has this therefore you need it making others trade to keep fresh model years always selling.

Besides the plastic and seat I liked the bare bones TC45 we have for pulling rakes. It has much faster speed, no cheap cab, no afterthought hydro. So much like there larger HP tractors they can build quality tractors yet they skimp on the "little" things. Now pulling rakes is insanely dusty but if I decline the cab and radio for bare bones tractor I beleive there is a problem here .

Put 500 hrs on a 3032 with a 300 loader hard use no problems. First dealer asked 21k for it bought from bigger dealer in next county for 16.5. Traded back to same dealer in April for 4105 with 300cx loader. This unit has 200 hrs on it now almost no problems. If you boys would learn to negotiate you can save more than you can make. Use these free trader magazines to compare prices annd remember that most printed prices are puffed. ALSO we are fifth generation farmers our farm division crops about 1800 acres 200 head of mama cows and we have owned every color out there and if money is an issue JD costs more in the beginning and way less in the long run time after time. We have a great NH dealer and CaseIH (almost the same depending on model) and own several pieces but they will not stay in the field like JD and never have. Older farmer told me 25 yrs ago that "New Holland will do as good of work as a Deere but not as long and on more mantanence" My experience is the same 8340 NH has been a good tractor at over 6000 hrs on it but 4240 has been great with over 10000 hrs no OH.

I have a 2001 New Holland TC40D with 2900hrs, love everything about the tractor. I'm thinking of getting a new tractor soon to replace it. So I gave NH another look they didn't seam like the quality was there. I looked at the Bob Cat. They impressed me, I believe it would be a good decision for you. Have you looked at John Deere?

I have looked at the deere but I don't like the way the attachments run. I think the front mounted snow blower and broom are a joke compared to other tractors and Deere qualilty. I am still running at boomers for now but am looking at getting a size or two bigger or trading one of ours in for a bigger unit. I would go BC, NH or deere cuz there in town for me.

I quess it depends on what the mainstay of your business is .We do alot of snow removal and hauling fill dirt into tight spots .so a 30hp 4x4 ,low-profile cab is a must, quality broom and blower that will fit on walks.easy access shear-pins .Something that I can change clogged fuel filters on in the field and drop the loader without calling in the gang to help .For finish grading and seeding: wheel stance ,so its not top heavy amd enough power and weight to handle our heaviest 3-pnt attachment .Heavy duty shuttle trans if offered two range with 3-4 speeds ,A guy does not need 157 gears on a hydro .Local service and a apropiate trailer to haul it around .
