Looked at a new plowing job today and know I am going to rip up some pavement due to some exposed edges and "pot holes". Then I opened my mouth and said maybe I could fix it so I wouldn't tear it up. OOPS.
Any suggestions as to an easy cold weather patch fix. Do not really want to get involved in repair asphalt work or buying equipment. A pourable patch / sealant would be really cool. Needs to cover a couple inches deep at some and some spots breaking up pavement with an almost honeycomb look.

call an asphalt guy to get a price sub it out mark it up...make some $$$ without doing any work...

once it starts to alligator IMO its time to rip it out... looks like you'd have to do a combination of sealing and cold/hot patch work. get some freeze/thaw action the potholes will just worsen...

Ya its tricky to do that, if the ground is already frozen, then technically your not supposed to do anything. Otherwise you need hot asphalt to patch it. It all depends on the temperature your having in your state.

Cheapest way: Fill the pothole with 3/4 gravel or GA till its 3-4" bellow the actual asphalt. Then buy a cold patch ready mix (make sure it stays in warm temp until you use it) Then put down the cold patch and stamp it with a tamper every layer until its even with the existing asphalt.
