Found a 2007 7x18 enclose trailer with a 2ft v neck. It's a Homesteader Hurcule enclose trailer with is blace with diamond plate all the way around it. It's 6ft6in in height has a side door and the back door is a ramp. dual axel with electric brakes. Roof vent and has 2 12 volt lights inside. He asking $4000 is that a good price. Thanks

I would think it's not an amazing price, but trailer prices seem to vary regionally. I bought a new H&H 8x18 enclosed for a tad under $4500 a few months ago. If it's in GREAT shape and you like it, I don't think it sounds crazy expensive or anything.

I don't know anything about Homesteader brand trailers. Have you done any research on them?

I bought a brand new trailer about like that, same size, for $4,100.00 last year. So, no, that is not a great price at all.

I found a Hurricane cargo factory online. Talked to them and I can get a great deal by buying directly from them. Have yall heard the name brand Hurricane before and if yes what do you think of them. They come with a 5 yr warranty.

Have yall heard xtratuff trailers. Also on the hurricane trailer I can get 7x18x6.6 black with diamond plate all around. All electric with 4 plug in 4 flourant lights breaker box vee nose for 4100 2011 model how does that sound. Do yall know what the different is between a cargo enclose or a motocycle trailer?

Just wondering what size axles? I have a 20' with the 3500lb and I will never do that again. I will get at least 5200lbs axles next time.

I did not think they made 5500lb axles. I might be wrong, but it probably has 5200lb. axles. The standard trailer axles are either 3500lb, 5200lb., or 7000lb. I suppose there are others, but those 3 are generally considered the standard sizes.

Mine has 5200lb axels, 2 fuel doors, extended tongue, LED lights, 2 roof vents, side flow thru vents, and 3 dome lights. I'm planning to buy a box truck is only reason for selling. PM me if anyone has any questions.

Ok, is the electrically system on a trailer worth the $300 dollars extra. This is what it contains. Two Flourant light a 110 breaker box to outlets and a switch to turn on thel lights. Also going with a blact trailer with atp wrapped around the whole thing. Go new from a factory and the deal can't be beat. Also going with a 48 in side door

Super

It appears to me the Torsion Bar Drop Axles can be lower to the ground for easier loading.

Has anyone heard of xtratufftrailers out of Eastman Georgia. They are a direct factory so they say they can cut the dealers cost out of the trailers price. So want to know if anyone knows anything about there trailers or seen them to see how well built they are.

I have never heard of these trailers, so I hate to say if they are any good or not. However, I will say that when I bought my enclosed they had a brand called North American Cargo that the dealer could make me a heck of a deal on, so I bought one and that is the biggest piece of junk I have ever owned. Next time I am going to stick with the big boys that have been making them for awhile. I always say, " a cheap tool is a expensive tool", boy do I wish I had listened to myself.

what kind of problems did you have with it and what kind of warranty came with it. This one comes with a 5 yr warranty. So far the only thing I'm worried about is they use the leaf spring axles instead of the rubber tension axle and seeml like people likes the rubber ones better.

I would say that 18 ft. is ALOT of trailer for a chem trailer...Actually, on the side of overkill. Remember limitations of parking area.

so what sizes would be good for a pallet of fert.chem and z-spray

Right now I'm using either a 10 ft or a 16ft open trailer to haul my stuff. I figure that by having a enclose trailer would look more professional than an open trailer plus a driving bullboard on the road. Right now I can't afford a box truck which in another two yrs or so I'm hoping to be there, but for now I thought a enclose would be good for business advertisement plus a cleaner look. So I'm guessing yall are saying to not go with an enclose trailer until I can afford a box truck. Right now I use the back of my truck for my 200 gals water tank and then been putting my fert, chem and z- z-spray on the trailer. I thought by having a enclose trailer I wouldn't have to unload everynight. Give my yall opionion on a enclose trailer before I spent the money. My accountant says I must buy something soon or pay out to the gov. and that now going to happen.

i have been to the plant and seen them ... poor construction , poor workmanship and cheap materials.. out of all the trailer builders in GA there are 4-5 companies that actually make a decent trailer
