What do you think? Anyone have a truck similar with any feedback?

Nice price. It's going to need a set of 4.10 (3.73 min) gears and a RoadMaster Active Suspension to make it last a while pulling a trailer. Put a big assed tranny fluid cooler on it too.

nice truck, but unless you are pulling a small trailer with only a walk or small ztr you will be struggling as it is only the 4.6L v8 which is not that great for pulling all the time.

I completely agree with the other posters. That truck was definately not designed to be pulling all the time. If you do decide to tow with it alot, I think you will be dissappointed and will see things break down far more often.

But if you are just going to be using it as a daily driver and towing occasionally, then with the right trans cooler, suspension, etc. you can have quite a nice truck.

Price does look pretty good too.

It would be my daily driver as well as pull my trailer. I just have a 12 footer single axle though with a couple walk behinds that gets used a couple days a week (maybe only a couple thousand miles a year loaded).

I saw this truck on CL over a month ago though so I'm wondering how it is still around at that price... There is some dings in it and the tires aren't in the best shape so maybe that has something to do with it.

I pulled a small trailer with a Toro Z with my Ford Escape V6 for two years with no problems. Any full sized truck with a V8 is not going to have any problem just pulling lawn equipment. Now, landscape materials, plowing, etc might have to rethink.....

I have a 2004 F-150 long bed with a V-6 that I pull my 12ft trailer with for the past 3 seasons. I put a set of 3.55 gears in it and a limited slip diff. The factory gears were 3.08 with a open diff.(Sometimes I wish I had went to the 3.73).My next add on is the Superchips programmer(need it to reset speedo,Ford can't do it).I also put a cold air intake, throttle body spacer(sounds like a vacuum) and a flow master exhaust.Pulling the trailer I realized I need more braking so I added the vented SSB rotors and pads all the way around.Pro comp shocks were added this summer.
I have been tempted to have a friend at a speed shop mount a turbo on it.

I only feared it for the open road when not pulling the trailer.

You can find some deals this time of year. Car lots dump inventory to save on end of year inventory tax. Individuals tend to be in more need of money with holidays etc this time of year. You might shop around a little more before you pull the trigger on this one, could find an even better deal.

I bought a 1993 Ford XL f250 5.8L 5speed for with 45000 original miles about a month ago for $2900 in excellent shape. A ladies husband had passed away earlier in the year, and she stated she just hadn't gotten around to selling it yet. Now she needed Christmas money so she put it on CL. Luckily I was the second to show up and the first with cash in hand.:)
