when to recruit

hey guys, on a similar note to the thread on hooking new customers in the commercial forum...........

when do you guys start doing all your flyers for the upcoming season, do you do separate advertising and flyers for leaf season? if so when? how about for the winter?

I have always found that if you advertise your service when no one else is advertising their's you get a unique response - not always the best response in regard to numbers, but often times fewer "tire kickers". People who are serious about the company that protects their landscaping investment will be interested in speaking with you no matter what time of the year it is.
