I think my $500,000 policy with my ZTR insurance combined runs about $600 a year. I am exempt from worker's comp so I don't know what that runs.

I belive Work/Comp goes by payroll in most areas. In Mass it does. If you get caught with help with out W/C, they nail you.

Workers comp rate is dependent on your payroll and what you do, for lawn and landscaping we pay $3.50 per hundred of payrol- For tree removal we pay $13.50 per hundred in payroll. For commercial auto we have a 500k policy, what your rate is will depend on year of truck and who will be driving it. Give your insurance agent a call they will be glad to give you a free quote.:waving:

Are you saying OP, what do commercial accounts require for coverage for your business to do biz for them?

All you need is GL for those purposes, and some will require you to carry WC for your employees if working on their premises. Biz Auto, Umbrella, Equipment rider, etc thats all your own decision no account will require you to have that.

Our HOA;S require us to have commercial auto. We also service homes run by the state [handicapped people] and it is required. We are also a sub for Brickman [ plowing ] and they require a 200k Policy. You will need it sooner or later, might as well get it now.

Interesting HOA's and the such requiring coverages that have nothing to do with them.
Seems to be the norm for ins. requirements; just order up the smorgasboard even though you don't even know what is on it.

Yes, I thought it was strange for a HOA to require commercial auto also, But we already had it when they asked so no problem.
