Enough power to run high lift blades??

Went to the local fair last week and asked the scag dealer about high lift blades for mowing/blowing leaves. He said that most guys run only one high lift blade on the discharge side of the deck to throw leaves. He said the machine would not have enough power to run three high lift blades at once. (too much drag). Is this true? I got a scag turf tiger with the 27HP Kawi.

When the oaks,magnolias,etc. drop in the fall here I use a set of hi-lift blades on my ZTR. I've got the 25 Kaw. and there is plenty of power.
IMO you would need the "set" on the machine to do the job properly.
(For leaves anyway.)

I always used high lift blades on my old pre turf tiger ztr only had 20hp and never had a problem

I use high lift blades on my scag cub all the time

I'm always running 3 hi lifts on my 2002 61" 27 hp Kawasaki Turf Tiger. No problem at all. Good luck.

I run a single set of high lifts year round on my older model lesco 48 with the 14 KAW.

for my setup, plenty of power on a WB.

I used regular lifts and gators but when I put on the high lifts, that was the ticket!

All the mowers I have had were fitted with high lifts. Let me see-- 15 hp kaw, 17 hp kaw, 23 hp kaw. All had high lift blades and enough power to turn them..
