I have a question re: Black knot fungus.
I picked up a new account the other day for both lawn and tree & shrub care. (The drought in MA. hasn't slowed me down.)
Anyway the lady has several reasonably new cherries that are loaded with the fungus.
I told her that as far as I know the only thing to do is prune out the infected parts.
These trees are realy loaded with the stuff though. So pruning wouldn't leave much.
I did also tell her that we may end up just keeping them until they get so ugly that she decides to replace them.

Any advice?

Thanks in advance
