Anyone know what the best drought tolerant seed is to use in the midwest?

i've read that bermuda is the best against drought, but then i don't live in the midwest, so bermuda might not work there.

Try a good mix of the newest varieties of tall fescues.

Would help if we had your definition of drought tolerance.

Do you want a warm season turf that will be green in the summer with no irrigation, but brown in the winter?

Or do you want a cool season turf that will not die from lack of watering during the summer, but will brown out during the summer?

Fescues are defintily good. I'm trying "Bowie" Buffalo grass at my place in part of my back yard this year. It's expensive stuff, but it cme up good in the hot of the summer and is looking good.
