Fairly new to this site. Usually hang out on the arboristsite as i do primarily tree work. Used to do landscaping quite a few years back and owned a John Deere 955 utility plus a bunch of attachments. Nice tractor.

Now, I have a guy who wants to trade me a his tractor for my bobcat mt52 mini skid plus attachments (listed for sale in the equipment sales forum). I was hoping someone from this site could give me an idea as to what his tractor setup is worth so I can decide if I want to make the trade. My preliminary research tells me that this setup might be worth around $15k. You tell me if I'm close or way off...

Tractor is a 2000 JD4400 with 289 hours. Options: Hydrostatic transmission with three ranges, 4x4, Industrial wheels and tires, two pair factory wheel weights, JD three point quick hitch, JD 420 quick attach loader with quick attach 60" HD bucket, added clevis hooks on each side for lifting, and one in the middle for pulling over trees, 72" quick attach JD rear blade and 78" quick attach front snow pusher (home made from old snow plow).

Thanks for your help. this is all the info he sent me so if there is anything else I should know or ask him about, I would appreciate your advice.

I would say $15k is about right

Those added impiments look like a give away. What I see, puts that tractor alone at about 16,000.

I'm not trading on this anymore. guy wanted to give me his $15k tractor for my $22k equipment package - even trade. No deal.
