Just wanted to be the first to post on this site. Hopefully the mods won't remove it.

I like the idea as many aspects seem to be Florida specific. I'm sure now I'll be called an elitist.

I do like the idea - our turf grass species while used throughout the states - face a totally unique environment.
I also know that their seems to be many of us from FL on here...however our post are spread all over the place.

Let them move to FL, experience our heat, our pest, and our high cost of living, and of course they will have to deal with the extra traffic because that will make 101 million landscaper trailers on the highway, then they will soon see that they do not have much to be jealous of.

In all reality we do face a different environment than most do. How often have you pulled up a thread and seen someone posting about something that makes no sense in our environment.

Not jealous.

I can sympathize though, as I have been down there in July and August. I don't mind the heat, just can't handle the humidity. I think everyone would probably same the same.

What I do find interesting is the few post that have shown up so far. With all the lawn care/landscapers in Florida, I would have thought this forum would be blazing now.

My 2 cents

I think it is buried down the list on the homepage. Plus there are already several FL city threads under the networking forum.

Yes and with our current weather conditions, thing are currently slow here too. I got a feeling that this section of the forum will be "blazing" towards the first to last of march. I plan on adding as much as I can in the way ofpictures of pest and disease examples to help out the newbies, but know that is not realistic on a EOW or ETW schedule.
